# How to create new vehicle profiles

### Instructions


1. Log in to Linxio.
2. Click on the **Fleet** module on the left-hand side.
3. Click on the **Fleet** tab then **Add new vehicle** on the bottom of the page.

4. Fill out the mandatory fields denoted by the ${color}[#ff0000](\*)


**Type**: refers to vehicle type i.e. truck, excavator, roller etc.
**Vehicle Title:** Asset or fleet number usually goes here.
**REGONO:** Vehicle registration goes here.


5. The rest of the fields are considered optional except for **Depot** groups which requires the **Fleet Plus** software plan.
6. Click on **Save** to finalise and create the new vehicle profile.

7. Back on the **Fleet** module and tab you'll see that the registration is now created.

### Frequently Asked Questions


**I cannot create a vehicle profile as the system states the registration already exists**

As the Linxio platform doesn't allow duplicates of the same rego please check:

1. That the vehicle profile is not hidden due to being **archived.**
2. If the vehicle profile was **deleted**.

**I've created the vehicle profile but its showing the vehicle as offline or not tracking on the MAP module.**

The vehicle profile needs to be paired to a device that has been installed and on your system for it to start tracking. please refer to the link aforementioned in point 8 of this tutorial for instructions:
