How to set up Driver Profiles and use i-buttons for driver identification

In order to utilise the physical driver identification by i-button key fob through the Vision 3.0 dashcams it is required that users set up "Driver" profiles on FT Cloud which this article will go through.

Before proceeding please note the below:

  1. Driver identification via i-button key fob is supported for both Vision 3.0 and Lite systems which is an additional add-on to provide the kit, please consult with your sales representative if you would like further information.

Setting up Driver Profiles

  1. Log into FT Cloud, select the "Basic data" module then "Driver"
  2. Click on the "Add" button to begin the process

Driver Module

  1. Fill in the mandatory fields denoted by the red *

Setting up the Driver Profile

Driver Name - Name of the driver

Driver ID - Primarily for customers utilising the i-buttons with physical RFID readers for the vision cameras which would be the unique serial found on the i-button itself shown below to be filled in this field:

I-button serial number for identification

We read the serial starting from the top row, left to right so the above would be F50000011E08E301 as an example.

State: Specify whether the profile is currently "Employed" or "Resigned"

Fleet: You'll only have one option here which would be your own Fleet so select that option.

  1. If all mandatory fields are filled out correctly you can click the "Save" button to create the driver profile.

Note: Driver Photo is primarily for customers who are opting for driver identification via facial recognition thus is not applicable users with i-buttons set up.

Once completed, please contact our dedicated support team via email at support@linxio.com and via phone on 02 7908 5453 within our business hours of 9 AM - 5 PM AEST for us to review and finalise the set up of the I-buttons identification.

How to check individual driver behaviour scores, alarms triggered and driver assignment on FT Cloud

Once drivers successfully pair themselves to the vehicles and complete trips, this data will be processed and updated accordingly to the driver profile assigned to the device at the time of the trip and what alarms were triggered.

To access the driver report/score card simply press the "Basic Data" module from the left-hand side then click on "Driver". From there click into any created driver profile and view the report card per the screenshot below:

Driver assignment to the device on FT Cloud can be checked via the vehicle list in "Vehicle Monitoring" under the "Live View" module and via historical routes through the "Track playback" feature.
