How to set up Driver profiles via Facial Recognition feature
This tutorial will go through how FT Cloud users can set up and assign photos to driver profiles for the purpose of driver identification and assignment to vehicles on the system which only compatible with only the Vision 3.0 dashcams.
Before proceeding, please ensure that the devices have been configured for facial recognition before hand as the device is required to take images of drivers in the vehicles for processing. Instructions
- Login into FT Cloud
- From the list of modules on the left-hand side, press the "Driver Identification" module to expand a list of options.
- Select the first option which is "Unknown Driver Processing".
- You can filter to view unknown driver events by specific vehicle or leave blank for all applicable vehicles.
- You can select the date box to specify desired time ranges to view any events during those times.
- The two icons visible below each event is to register a new driver profile to assign the photos or bind the photos to an existing driver profile on your portal for facial recognition.
Users can click on the thumbnail of the specific event to view and display more information
- You can review and assign these photos to a brand new driver profile by selecting "Register new user".
- You can review and assign these photos to an existing driver profile by selecting "Link to the driver".
- You can flag events with unknown persons in the vehicle by selecting the "Mark as unknown driver" option.
- You can view photos of different drivers by selecting the "Next driver" button.
- If there are any matching errors you can flag and delete them by selecting "Matching Error"
How to check individual driver behaviour scores, alarms triggered and driver assignment on FT Cloud
Once drivers successfully pair themselves to the vehicles and complete trips, this data will be processed and updated accordingly to the driver profile assigned to the device at the time of the trip and what alarms were triggered.
To access the driver report/score card simply press the "Basic Data" module from the left-hand side then click on "Driver". From there click into any created driver profile and view the report card per the screenshot below:
Driver assignment to the device on FT Cloud can be checked via the vehicle list in "Vehicle Monitoring" under the "Live View" module and via historical routes through the "Track playback" feature.
