TR500-12 Install Guide
Understanding the Wiring
- Power Connections:
- Wire 6 - Orange → Connects to a power source that is only active when the engine is running ( ACC power). This helps detect when the vehicle is on.
- Wire 7 - Black (PGND) → Connects to the vehicle's ground.
- Wire 8 - Red → Connects to a constant power source ( +7V to +60V DC). This ensures the device stays powered at all times.
- Inputs & Outputs:
- Blue (DIN 2 - RPM) → Likely reads engine RPM signals.
- Brown (DOUT 1) → A digital output, possibly used to control external devices.
- Black (DGND) → Digital ground for signal connections.
- Green (DIN1 - SOS) → A digital input, possibly for an emergency or SOS button.
- Yellow (DOUT 0) → Another digital output.
- Orange (DIN 0 - ACC) → Digital input to detect ignition status.
- Analog Inputs:
- White & Grey (AIN2 / DIN4 - 0-32V input) → Can measure a voltage between 0-32V or be used as a digital input.
- Pink (AIN2 / DIN5 - 0-32V input) → Another voltage measurement input.
- Black (AGND) → Analog ground, used for sensor connections.
Installation
- Power Setup:
- Connect the Red wire to a constant power source (battery or fuse box).
- Connect the Black wire to the vehicle’s chassis or another reliable ground.
- Connect the Orange wire to an ignition-switched power source (like the fuse for the radio or ignition system).
- Mounting Instructions:
- Install underneath the dashboard.
- Ensure the top side is facing right side up (to maintain GPS or signal reception).
- Avoid metal obstructions surrounding the tracker.
Accessorie
Buzzer
For audible speed alerts, connect the buzzer as follows:
- Positive (+) side: Connect to +12V constant power.
- Negative (-) side: Connect to the yellow (DOUT0) wire on the GPS device.

Troubleshooting
Device Lights Are Not Flashing
- Ensure the device is receiving at least 12V power.
- Verify the black wire is securely connected to the chassis ground.
- Check if the fuse is blown:
- If blown, replace it with a new 2-amp fuse.
- Restart the device:
- Disconnect power to the tracker.
- Wait 1 minute.
- Reconnect power.
- *
Device Lights Are Not Solid After 5 Minutes
- Ensure the engine is on and the device is receiving both constant and ignition power.
- Make sure the vehicle is outside (not inside a building) to avoid GPS signal blockage.
- Check if the SIM card is properly inserted.
- If the issue persists:
- Remove the SIM card.
- Wipe the contact with a clean fabric.
- Reinsert the SIM card into the device.
- *
Device Lights Turn Off After Flashing or Being Solid
- Verify the device still has constant power.
- If power is present:
- Disconnect power to the tracker.
- Wait 1 minute.
- Reconnect power.
