TR500 Immobilization Install

Installation Guide: GPS Tracker with Engine Immobilization

TR500-Lite

๐Ÿ“ฆ Required Components:

  • GPS Tracker device
  • 12V or 24V Relay
  • 2A Fuse & fuse holder
  • Engine starter wire (DO NOT connect to ignition or fuel system)
  • Vehicle battery (12V or 24V)
  • Cut-off switch (optional for manual override)
  • Electrical tools (wire strippers, connectors, etc.)

๐Ÿ”Œ Wiring Overview:

The GPS tracker is wired to the relay which, when activated remotely or automatically, cuts off the engine starter motor circuit โ€” effectively immobilizing the vehicle.

โš™๏ธ Step-by-Step Installation Instructions:

1. Power Connections

  • ๐Ÿ”ด Red Wire (Tracker Power Input):

Connect to a fused +12V or +24V power source from the vehicle battery (through the fuse box).

Install the 2A fuse inline for safety.

  • โšซ Black Wire (Ground):

Connect to a solid vehicle chassis ground.

2. Ignition Detection

  • ๐ŸŸ  Orange Wire (ACC/ Ignition Detection):

Connect to the ACC wire of the ignition switch.

This helps the tracker know when the vehicle is ON/OFF.

3. Immobilization (Relay Connection)

  • ๐ŸŸก Yellow Wire (Relay Trigger):

Connect to the relay coil's positive terminal. This wire activates the relay to break or connect the starter motor circuit.

  • โšช White Wire (Engine Starter Sense):

Connect to the engine starter motor line (not ignition or fuel line). This wire should go to the circuit that starts the engine motor when the key is turned to START.

4. Relay Wiring (Standard 4-Pin Relay)

  • Yellow Wire: Connect to Yellow wire on tracker
  • White Wire: Connect to constant power
  • Green Wire: Connect to Starter motor

๐ŸŸข 5. Starter Wire Cut

  • Locate the starter motor wire.
  • Cut the wire, and connect:
    • One end to Green
    • Other end Green

๐Ÿงช Before Testing the System

  1. Please call our support team on 02 7908 5453 so we configure the Tracker

๐Ÿงช Testing the System

  1. Turn the key to ACC โ€” the tracker should power up.
  2. Immobilize REGO on the portal to activate the immobilizer.
  3. Try starting the car โ€” the engine should not crank.
  4. Deactivate the immobilizer โ€” the engine should crank and start normally.

โš ๏ธ Important Notes:

  • DO NOT connect the immobilization to the fuel pump or ignition coil. Use only the starter motor line.
  • Always verify relay orientation (check markings on your relay).
  • Double-check connections and secure all wiring to prevent short circuits.
  • If you're not experienced with vehicle electronics, consult a professional installer.
