πŸš— Linxio GPS 4-Pin Tracker – Basic Installation Guide

βš™οΈ 1. Identify the 4 Wires

Most Linxio 4-pin harnesses use the following standard colors:

Wire Color

Function

Connect To

πŸ”΄ Red

+12V/+24V Power

Constant 12V/24V source (battery positive)

⚫ Black

Ground

Vehicle chassis or battery negative terminal

🟠 Orange

ACC / Ignition sense

Wire that becomes live (12V/24V) when ignition key is ON

🟑 Yellow

Relay control / Output (optional)

To relay if you’re installing a fuel-cut or immobilizer feature (optional

πŸ”Œ 2. Mount the GPS Tracker

  • Choose a hidden but signal-friendly location inside the vehicle.
  • Common spots: under dashboard, behind glove box, or under rear parcel shelf.
  • Avoid placing it directly under metal surfaces.
  • The GPS antenna side (flat top) should face upward toward the sky.

⚑ 3. Connect Power and Ground

  • Connect the red wire to a constant 12V/24V power line β€” directly from the fuse box or battery.
  • Use an in-line fuse (1A–3A) to protect the circuit.
  • Connect the black wire securely to a clean ground point on the chassis.

πŸ”‘ 4. Connect the Ignition (ACC) Wire

  • Find a wire that has 12V/24V only when ignition is ON, Use a Multimeter for this.
  • Connect the orange wire there.
  • This allows Linxio to detect when the engine is running or off.

🧩 5. (Optional) Connect the Relay / Cut-Off Function

If your tracker supports immobilization (fuel cut, starter disable, etc.):

  • Use the Yellow Wire from the tracker to control a relay.
  • Wire the relay in series with the fuel pump or starter circuit.
  • When activated via the Linxio platform, the relay opens the circuit β€” disabling the vehicle.

( Please skip this step if you’re doing a standard tracking-only install.)

πŸ“Ά 6. Test the Unit

  1. Turn ignition ON.
  2. Check tracker LEDs β€” you should see:
  • Power LED (solid)
  • GPS LED (blinking, then solid once locked)
  • GSM LED (blinking indicates network activity).
  1. Verify the tracker reports live location in your Linxio platform/app.
