How to create a geofence/area notification

Note: This feature is not available on the Starter Plan. If you would like access, please contact your account manager.

Once you have created geofences/areas, you can set up notifications based on those areas. If you haven’t created an area yet, please refer to this guide:

Click on the gear icon (Configuration).

Select Notifications.

Scroll to the Areas section.

Click on one of the area notification options.

Click New Notification.

Enter a Title for the notification.

Under Vehicles, specify whether the notification applies to all vehicles or select vehicles.

Under Areas, specify whether the notification applies to all areas or select areas.

For this example, select Areas.

Choose the specific area(s) for this notification.

Check the weekend option if you want the notification to trigger on Saturday and Sunday.

Select the Notification Type

Choose the Recipients for this notification. ****

(Optional) Add any additional email addresses or phone numbers for recipients who are not current users.

Click Save.

Your area-based notification is now set up! ---
