How to set vehicle Depots/Groups

Using Depots and Groups can help you better manage your fleet, making it easier to organize, report, and control vehicle-related data.

Why Set Up Depots and Groups?

Map View: Organize vehicles by location or type for easier navigation on the map.

Reports: Narrow down reports to specific vehicles located in Groups or at Depots.

Permissions: Control access to vehicle data for different users more efficiently than manual selections.

Alerts & Notifications: Set up specific alerts and inspection forms for particular vehicles, depending on their Depot or Group.

Steps to Set Up a Depot or Group

Navigate to Configuration

Go to the Configuration section in your Linxio dashboard.

Select the Fleet Tab

Under Configuration, click on the Fleet tab to access vehicle settings.

Choose to Add a Vehicle to a Depot or Group

You’ll have the option to add a vehicle to a Depot or a Group.

Depot vs. Group

Depot: Think of a Depot as a location where vehicles are based (e.g., a physical site or garage).

You can only have one Depot per vehicle.

Group: A Group is a category based on the type of vehicle (e.g., trucks, sedans, electric vehicles).

You can assign multiple vehicles to a Group.
