How to update vehicle odometer

🚗 Initial Setup

When GPS devices are first installed in vehicles, you must manually enter the initial odometer reading. This ensures the system calculates mileage accurately from that point onward.

Note: Over time, slight variances may occur between the GPS-calculated odometer and the actual vehicle odometer due to various factors (e.g., signal accuracy, tire size). To maintain accuracy, it's important to periodically update the odometer reading.

🔄 How to Update the Odometer Value

1. Go to the Fleet page

• Navigate to the Fleet module in the menu.

2. Select the vehicle

• Click on the RegNo of the vehicle you wish to update.

3. Open the Specification tab

• Select the Specification tab in the vehicle's profile.

4. Select History

• Delete all previous History if you are correcting an inaccurate odometer value.

• Click the pencil icon ✏️ next to the current mileage.

• Enter the vehicle's current odometer reading and click Save.

✅ Your odometer value is now updated and will be used as the new base for ongoing mileage tracking. Monitor subsequent readings after saving.

Important: Do not enter the odometer reading manually in the Fleet tab when a current reading is requested for a correction. Provide the vehicle's current reading so it can be updated against the odometer settings.
