How to check availability of historical footage/recordings
The Video Playback module on FT Cloud has a built-in feature which clearly indicates to users what type of historical data is available from the dashcam's physical SD card i.e. Video Playback or Picture Play by Play.
The type of statuses are listed below:
🔴 Red (No White Dot)
• Indicates alarm events only are available for the selected date.
• No video or image data is accessible.
🟢 / 🔴 Green or Red with a white corner
• Indicates both video and image data are available.
• A red background denotes that alarm events occurred during this period.
• A green background signifies that no alarms were triggered.
⚫⚪ Grey with White Border
• Indicates that only **image data **is available.
• **Video data **is not available for this date.

Frequently Asked Questions
I cannot access nor view historical footage of my device.
The device must be in active or online status indicated by the green circle icon in order to access historical video recordings. Picture play will be the default option if the device is Offline or in Sleep Mode.
Video footage was once available for a date but now its gone.
Due to the Loop Recording feature of the Vision dashcams they will automatically overwrite historical video from the oldest date to make room for new recordings. Picture Play and triggered Alarm event footage will still be available to view through the platform.
Any urgent or critical video recordings that required to be clipped & downloaded should be actioned ASAP to mitigate the risk of being overwritten. Users can temporarily remove the SD card from the device to preserve the recording and download it directly to their PC or laptop through the Local Player app.
