How to view Alarm footage

There are two ways users can access to review footage concerning alarms that have been triggered from their Vision 3.0/Lite dashcam devices.

View a quick summary of alarms triggered by specific vehicle from the Map Module

You can effortlessly and quickly view triggered alarms for a specific vehicle by doing the below:

Users need to ensure that they are on the " Map " screen where you can see your list of vehicles. Simply click on the " Live View " module from the left-hand side list to expand the list of options then select " Vehicle Monitoring "

From there hover your mouse cursor over the desired vehicle to reveal 3 additional options on the right-hand side of the device name where you'll need to select the middle icon called " Details "

If done correctly, the panel will update to display " Vehicle Information " then simply scroll down to see the " Vehicle Alarm " section shown below:

How to view all alarms triggered for all vehicles

If users require to access and review the whole library of alarms/alerts triggered for all their vehicles, please proceed with the below steps:

From the left-hand side list select the " Evidence " Module which will then expand a list of additional modules then select the " Alarm " feature.
The page will update and from here you can use the search filters located on the top of the page to filter vehicle alarms via specific vehicle name, date/time range and alarm time.
Any thumbnail with a visible picture can be clicked to view the alarm footage immediately.

If users would like to continue watching video footage post alarm being triggered simply click on " More " icon to show a drop down list of options then select the " Video Playback " option. Please note in order for this option to work the device must be in " active " status denoted by the green status circle icon which is viewable on the " Vehicle Monitoring " feature underneath the " Live View " Module from your vehicle list because the platform will query the device to access the historical footage directly from the device's SD card from the start of the alarm being triggered.

Frequently Asked Questions

Some alarms in my library shows in the thumbnail " No Media Data " or " No Data Available "

Alarms such as " Shock " , " GPS Lost " or " Video Block " for example do not record footage of the alarm but rather it triggers it to be logged and recorded as an event record instead. If the alarm was recent. there is historical footage available for those dates the alarm was triggered and the device is currently " Active " you can do a video playback via historical footage per the above section where you can view the trigger of the alarm manually.

Some of the alarms triggered for my vehicles are not accurate, a false positive or an extreme outlier case, can this be fixed or adjusted?

We can adjust the sensitivities of specific Alarm items from the back end device configuration so please contact our support team for further information.

The manual video playback of the alarm footage isn't' working or playing back from when the alarm is triggered.

As briefly stated above, the option to manually view the alarm footage pre and post trigger is only accessible if the historical footage is still available on the SD Card for the platform to retrieve from the device. If historical footage is overwritten naturally due to the SD card running out of space then its no longer possible to view the entire recording of footage for those dates.
